Afzal got 825 marks out of 1100 marks. What is the percentage of Afzal's marks? 

Given:

Obtained marks = 825 marks
Total marks = 1100 marks

To Find:

Percentage of Afzal's Marks = ?

Solution:

This problem can be solved in two Methods.

Method-1: Using Unitary Method

Afzal's Marks out of 1100 Marks = 825 Marks 

Afzal's Marks out of 1 Mark = `\frac{825}{1100}` Marks

Afzal's Marks out of 100 marks = `\frac{825}{1100}`ｘ100 %

Percentage of Afzal's Marks  = 75 % 

Note: Here We deduce a formula for Marks Percentage that is

 

Method-2: Using Proportion Method

It is a direct proportion So, 

`\frac{1100}{825}` = `\frac{100%}{ x }`

or

x = `\frac{825}{1100}` ｘ 100%

x = 75 %

Thus, the Percentage of Afzal's Marks is 75 %
